Through the years The Strathmore Arms has offered hospitality and a friendly reception to visitors and locals alike. Anthony and Selina welcome you to this charming old pub in Upper Teesdale. Along with our choice of wines, single malts etc., we serve great local ale with food is available 6 days a week.
Awarded 5* hygiene certificate. closed Tuesday.
On Sunday food is available 12.00 Noon to 3.00 pm
On Monday, & Wednesday to Saturday 12.00 Noon to 8.00 pm
“over the winter” we will be closed Monday and Tuesday

A coal/log fire still burns in the traditional Teesdale fireplace, though central heating now helps the cosy feeling in this traditional English country pub.
Free Wi-Fi is offered, a reminder of how the World moves on, easily forgotten here where time seems to have past it by . Our BED and BRUNCH accommodation, or room only, will provide opportunity to leisurely enjoy the fells, the waterfalls and the River Tees in Upper Teesdale. |

The walk from the Strathmore Arms to Low Force, and High Force enjoys spectacular scenery, hayfields, wild flowers, birds and dramatic nature through the changing seasons.
